1. What is Rubaroc?
Rubaroc is a granular rubber safety surfacing, which is applied to indoor and outdoor areas. It is mixed on site with a specially formulated resin, poured in place and trowelled to accommodate the surface substrate.

2. Is O.R.I Insured?
Yes we are fully insured and are covered by WSIB

3. Who uses Rubaroc Rubber Safety Surfacing?
Rubaroc is used on any surface that needs a permanent, non-slip, resilient surface. Rubaroc creates a comfortable and aesthetically pleasing surface for any wet deck.

4. How is Rubaroc Rubber Safety Surfacing installed?
Certified, trained O.R.I installers apply Rubaroc . The rubber granules arrive in bags and the resin in buckets. It is then mixed and trowelled on site to the specifications of the client.

5. How soon can I walk on it?
The surface is usable after a 24 hour drying period in most conditions.

6. Is the rubber surfacing slippery when wet?
Rubaroc is non-slip even when wet, just the same as the theory behind the rubber bath mat.

7. What colours does it come in?
Rubaroc has standard rubber surfacing colours for your convenience, however, custom mixes are also available.

8. What sub-base does Rubaroc cover?
Rubaroc can be installed on most solid substrates such as concrete, tarmac, wood, aluminum and steel. It can also be installed on compacted crushed stone for creating Rubaroc swimming pool decks.

9. Can Rubaroc be used for indoor and outdoor applications?
The surfacing is suitable for both indoor and outdoor applications.

10. How will winter affect rubber safety surfacing?
It has been proven to cope with the harshest environment including the scorching deserts of Arizona and the harsh winters of Canada.

11. Does Rubaroc get hot in the heat?
It is cooler than concrete and tarmac in the heat of summer because the pores trap moisture and create airflow that helps retain its low surface temperature. Because of the nature of rubber it does not absorb heat or cold like cement or rock products do.

12. Will Rubaroc delaminate in the freeze/thaw cycle?
Rubaroc rubber safety surfacing systems have been designed and thoroughly tested to remain stable in all weather conditions.

13. Will the colour fade?
Rubaroc rubber safety surfacing is UV stable and is highly used in Australia which is one of the harshest environments for ultra violet light.

14. Is Rubaroc tested?
Rubaroc has undergone many tests over the years including UV stability, critical fall heights, stain resistance and fungus & bacteria growth. Each test has passed with flying colours. All Rubaroc rubber surfacing materials have ISO 9002 certification and have been tested by the NSF (National Sanitation Foundation).

15. What happens to the water that drains through?
The water filters through to the sub-base and whatever direction it is sloped, the water will drain that way.

16. How do I clean Rubaroc Rubber Safety Surfaces?
Rubber safety surfaces require regular cleaning. Pressure washing is the most commonly used procedure for cleaning rubber surfaces. Sometimes mild soap and water sprayed with the garden hose is all that is necessary. For stubborn stains we offer a specialized cleaning solution.

17. What happens if the rubber safety surface needs repair?
Because Rubaroc is a rubber-based material, cutting out the damaged area and re-pouring the safety rubber and resin mixture will make repairs to your surface easy, un-noticeable and aesthetically pleasing. Repairs are un-noticeable with Rubaroc and the new material blends in with the original surface.

18. What is the warranty period?
TMG offers a 10 year residential limited warranty against defective materials
